Directly comparing the Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800, the platform performance is pretty good across the board but it isn't the fastest in all accounts. The E6300 doesn't suffer too much in Call of Duty, but CPU performance is a definite bonus for the rest of the games, where the E6300 delivers around two thirds the performance of the X6800.
